Public Hearing Notice
The Town Council of the Town of Berryville will hold the following public hearing at 7:30 p.m., or as soon after as this matter may be heard, on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, in the Main Meeting Room, Second Floor, of the Berryville/Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, Virginia to consider the following:
A proposed increase in the sewer user rate from $11.00 per 1,000 gallons of water used to $12.50 per 1,000 gallons of water used. Adoption of a rate of $12.50 per 1,000 gallons of water used would constitute a sewer rate increase of $1.50 per 1,000 gallons of water used or an increase of 13.63%. The combined water and sewer rate would increase from $17.57 per 1,000 gallons use to $19.07 per 1,000 gallons used or an increase of 8.53%.
This increase will become effective and will apply to the September 30, 2010 billing (usage after August 25, 2010.)
No increase in the water user rate is proposed.

Any person desiring to be heard on this matter should appear at the appointed time and place.
