Customers receiving Town of Berryville water and sewer service will be billed every month for that service.
Water and Sewer Rates
The rate for water is $6.57 per 1000 gallons of usage. The rate for sewer is $15.50 per 1000 gallons of water used. Actual meter readings are taken every month.

New Water and Sewer Accounts
To set up a new account please call the Town Office at (540) 955-1099.
It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the Town Office to make sure the account for a new residence is placed in the customer’s name. The customer is also responsible for notifying the Town Office when they vacate a property.
Please note that a refundable security deposit of $225 is required for customers who are renting their residence.
Other Security Deposits for renters:
• Business/Commercial (excluding Restaurants and Laundries): $ 860
• Restaurant: $ 785
• Laundry: $2,450

The Town of Berryville now offers you the option to pay your utility bill through automatic monthly debits from your bank account.
These automatic debits are a safe and convenient method of paying your utility bill. You just authorize us to notify your bank to transfer the amount you owe on the day your payment is due. It’s that simple.
Once you are set up on the ACH system, your payment will be made automatically on the 15th of each month, if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday your payment will be made the next business day.
Late Fees
A 10% late payment penalty is assessed if payment is not received by the 15th of the month. No additional notice will be provided before service disconnection.
If service is disconnected, it will be restored when the account and service charges, including a $40 reconnection fee, have been paid. Please note that if a Town employee comes to disconnect service, the $40 reconnection fee will be charged whether the service is actually cut off or not. The Town strictly enforces this policy.
Addressing Problems
Any discrepancies or problems in a water and sewer bill should be addressed by calling the Town Office at (540) 955-1099 immediately, but in no event more than 10 days from the date of the billing. If you suspect that you may have leaks in your home’s internal plumbing system, Berryville’s Public Works Department will check the leak detection device on your water meter. Please call the Town office to schedule this service.

Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
Berryvville's Drinking Water Quality Report is mailed to all water customers on an annual basis. The report is designed to provide customers with valuable information about drinking water quality in the Town of Berryville. The quality of the Town's drinking water meets all state and federal requirements administered by the Virginia Department of Health.
