There has been a water main break near the intersection of North Buckmarsh and West Fairfax Streets. This break necessitated isolating a portion of the water distribution system. Accordingly, several homes and businesses in the area have had their water service interrupted.
Public Works crews are working to repair the leak and restore water service as soon as possible. It is expected that service will be restored by 8:00 pm this evening.
Once water service is restored, you may experience cloudy or discolored water. If this occurs, run your cold faucet until the water clears.
