Street Closure and Water Maintenance Work
Location of street closure:
North Church Street from its intersection with Main Street north to the southern edge of the exit from Truist Bank (23 North Church Street)
Dates during which street
section may be closed:
The closure is expected to occur during project hours on April 7, 8, and 9, as required to complete the work.
Project hours:
Work in the area is expected to commence daily at no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and end no later than 5:30 p.m.

Project Summary:
Town personnel will:
- install a new water lateral and meter vault to an occupancy
- abandon the occupancy’s existing water lateral
- install a patch in the street
What should be expected
during the project?
During the project people in the area will experience:
traffic detours and typical construction-related noise, vibration, and dust.
NOTE: Rock will have to be removed during the project by use of hoe ram and jack hammer.
During the project people in the area may experience a water outage. No such service interruption is anticipated (except for the occupancy receiving the new lateral), but if a break occurs during the work, then water service will have to be interrupted long enough to complete necessary repairs.
