The Berryville Public Works Department is responsible for all the Town's infrastructure.
Department personnel are involved in street and sidewalk construction and maintenance, snow removal and salting, and engineering. We maintain all municipal property within the Town limits.
Water and sewer infrastructure are also maintained by the Department, working closely with our water plant and sewer plant staff to assure that the utilities provided to our citizens are delivered consistently and without interruption.
The Department provides water meter readings to our Finance Department for billing and consumption tracking.
Our Public Works staff provides weekly brush pick up throughout town.
For water and sewer emergencies after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, call Clarke County Communications at (540) 955-1234 for assistance.
National Public Works Week
May 17-23, 2015
There would be no community without the quality of life public works provides. There would be no community to police and protect, no public to lead or represent. Public works allows the world as we know it to be. This year's theme "Community Begins Here" speaks to the essential nature of Public Works services in support of everyday quality of life.
